About Sophie Aeronwen

I’m Sophie Aeronwen, an Autistic racing driver for Team BRIT, professional sim racer, Driver Coach, and co-founder of United Sim Team. LGBTQ+ Ambassador and Advocate. Graphics/Content Editor, Amateur photographer.

I guess that's the short version.

I've always had the feeling that something didn't quite fit, and since being diagnosed with Autism as an adult and coming out as Transgender in my 30s more things seem to make sense now. Throughout it all motorsport has been a huge passion, after getting my first wheel during the Covid boom and going from just a casual gamer that occasionally played racing games to taking up Sim Racing almost full-time, I have found a passion, friendship, and even love.

Even though my online racing career is short I have already won multiple races and championships on several different racing Sims, now I continually push to make the step up to the top level of e-sports racing.

2023 marks a very interesting year coming up as I finally can realize my dream of racing on a track in real life, thanks to Team BRIT who have given me this opportunity, and my girlfriend who has been racing with Team BRIT in 2022 and also racing with me for eTeam BRIT we can finally put our online racing chemistry into real life racing. The end goal is to be the first Transgender Woman to win at Le Mans, arguably the pinnacle of Motorsport worldwide.
